Chastidee Davis – Hush Tours Public Relations/Blogger

CEO of Hush Tours, Inc. Debra Harris invited Chastidee Davis to join the Hush Tours family in 2008. Chastidee was put on board to handle public relations and any social marketing for the company. Since, then Chastidee has become one of our official bloggers who updates our site daily with news and information related to Hip Hop. Brief Bio: Chastidee Davis was born April 17th 1983 and raised in a middle class West Indian home in the Bronx. As a young girl, she developed a love for poetry and writing after her older brother Clifford G. Davis died of a brain tumor. Chastidee’s writing immediately caught the attention of her English teachers when her poem “Expectations”, written in memory of her brother, was chosen for publication in The Anthology of Poetry by Young Americans. She later ventured off to Cardinal Spellman High School in the Bronx and formed a relationship with her English and Media teachers. They taught her new techniques for writing and introduced her to most of the authors she adores today, including Shakespeare, Toni Morrison, John Steinbeck, Franz Kafka, Maya Anegelou and more. Chastidee’s love for her Journalism course in High School resulted in her decision to major in Journalism when she entered Penn State University in 2001. During her freshman year, she fell in love with a new underground form of poetry called “slammin”, which essentially changed her style of writing. Since then, she has been working on a novel, “InSex” which she says is a reflection of the trials and tribulations she had to deal with as a young adult. When she’s not working for Hush Tours, you can catch the budding author building content for company websites like www.mobilecardcast.com , www.mobilerealestateid.com, or working with rapper Juelz Santana’s Label Skull Gang Entertainment. Chastidee’s long time relationship with the artists has put her in a position to handle different projects for the Label including marketing, promotions, and internship recruitment. Chastidee launched her own blog site in 2008 www.chastepen.com , which she uses as an outlet creatively. Her website is designed to expose her opinions on today’s media, but most importantly her talents as a writer.
